The sliding sleeve is easy to slide in – no matter the depth at which the concealed basic set is installed. This makes the waterproof box even faster to install.
The mounting ring allows the box to be installed in, on, or in front of the wall. It can be attached at the front or rear – for easy mounting in any type of installation.
Everything always within reach: The pre-assembled sealing gaiter is firmly connected to the sliding sleeve, so it can’t get lost. It is permanently elastic and waterproof.
Lightweight, sustainable, recyclable: The box is made of expanded polypropylene (EPP foam). The waterproof material provides perfect sound absorption and thermal insulation.

Can the tried-and-tested iBox Universal 1 basic set (from 2001) still be used? Regardless of whether you have the base set in stock or it’s installed at the customer’s site.
The iBox Universal 1 remains compatible with finish sets launched before 2023. To be fully equipped for future renovations, we recommend you install the new iBox universal 2.
Which lines fit onto the new iBox universal 2?
The new concealed basic set can be used with all existing and future finish sets by hansgrohe and AXOR.
Is the new iBox universal 2 compatible with older finish sets?
Yes. You can order the adapter plate separately to combine older shower, bath tub, and thermostat finish sets with the iBox universal 2.
